Why choose automatic?
Many people start learning to drive and are unable to progress cause they struggle with clutch control and gear selection, some people its more nerves and anxiety that prevent them from progressing. More often then not they decided to give up, their provisional ends up in a draw - forgotten, unless its needed for ID.
Not everyone! some people make the smart choice and switch to automatic. With an automatic car there is no clutch and no gear selection process. Therefore you have the opportunity to concentrate on driving!! you cannot stall an automatic and they very rarely roll backwards. so for people with confidence issues they are an amazing boost and put your driving career back on track.
When a pupil has their first lesson in an automatic car they never look back!
If you were to tell someone you were thinking of learning in an automatic car these are somethings they might say to you:
- There for lazy people
- If you can't drive a manual then you shouldn't be driving
- You can only drive an automatic when you pass
- They're expensive
Basically they will try to put you off the idea. All of the above will just lead you to putting that license back in the draw and getting on a bus instead. When you pass in an automatic you can only drive an automatic but who cares you've got your license!!!
